A vibrant and groovy family-friendly festival will be held in Desaru Coast in Malaysia this September. The Ombak Festival celebrates the coastal lifestyle with a rich blend of art, food, music, and fun activities from September 13 to 15, 2024. The 2024 edition of the festival sees an iconic lineup of both local and international artists alongside a variety of exciting things to do just 90 minutes from Singapore. Here’s what to expect:

Ombak Festival promises an unforgettable experience, for people of all ages, against the backdrop of Malaysia’s stunning southeastern coast. The festival offers more than 50 diverse events including live music from Grammy-winning artists and pulsating DJs, award-winning chefs cooking up a storm, interactive art workshops, children’s programmes, and much more.
Highlights include notable performances by 27 iconic global and local artists such as six-time, Grammy-winner Nile Rodgers & CHIC, British DJ Quantic, Swedish Band The Cardigans, pop princess Grace Jones, Macy Gray, rapper Joe Flizzow, to name a few.
Additionally, the festival offers engaging visual art projects like Beachfront Sip & Paint, art trails, elevated gastronomic experiences by renowned chefs like Ombak Supper Club with The Stars where 90 guests can dine with performers and Embar Beach Club Brunch by Chef Andrew Walsh, delicious food trucks serving Malaysian and global cuisine, a Festival Village, beach club parties, cocktails from pop-up bars, and more.
Meanwhile, children are invited to visit Ombak Kids where a dedicated zone for just children will be set up near the waterpark. Wonderfully, it will feature a silent disco and other entertaining activities for children.

Festival passes are available for 1-day and 2-days with ferry and shuttle services included for those travelling from Singapore and Johor Bahru on September 14 and 15. How to get there
There are chartered bus services between Singapore’s Queen Street and Desaru Coast on September 14 and 15. Otherwise, free shuttle services will operate between Johor Bahru’s R&F Mall and Desaru Coast on September 14 and 15. Plus, you could make the journey yourself via the ferry route from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Desaru Coast.
