If you’re like us and you’re planning your 2024 adventures then knowing the public holidays calendar would be very useful for you. Delightfully, Singapore has five long public holiday weekends and 11 public holiday dates in 2024. This number is down by two extra long weekends in 2023, as a result of Vesak Day 2023. The 2024 dates were released by the Ministry of Manpower in May 2023. However, some of these dates are compete already.

Nevertheless, the long public holiday weekends means that local holidaymakers can plan different weekend trips out of Singapore. The remaining long public holidays include Good Friday, Hari Raya Haji and National Day.
Here is the list of the 11 public holidays for 2024 in Singapore:
Monday, January 1, New Years Day (finished)
Saturday, February 10, Chinese New Year (finished)
Sunday, February 11, Chinese New Year (finished)

Wonderfully, employees who work on public holidays in Singapore are entitled to an extra day’s salary at the basic rate of pay, in addition to their gross rate of pay for that day, as stated by MOM.
Certainly, it’s the perfect time to plan an escape abroad, go on a cheap holiday nearby, go island hopping, or opt for a staycation or hotel package in Singapore, to name a few things.
