Singapore’s largest rum festival Rum Bellion returns after a two year break. Excellently, the festival promises an unbeatable social drinking experience at Heart Of Darkness restaurant on June 5.
Rum Bellion will feature dozens of rum brands and rum expressions, the finest cocktails by Asia’s 50 Best Bars, international and local guest bartenders, exclusive launches and plenty more entertainment. Festival highlights include:
1. Plantation Single Cask 2021 Jamaica 1998
For the first time in Asia Pacific, festival attendees will be part of the special launch of this 22-year-old limited-edition rum. However, there’s only 126 bottles on the market in Asia Pacific, so you better act fast.
2. Rum Brands And Styles
Rum lovers will enjoy over 30 brands and 60 different rum expressions at the festival. With regional rums and exotic rums available…you’ll be spoilt for choice. Think brands like Appleton Estate from Jamaica, the Caribbean’s Plantation and Tiki Lovers, Thailand’s Chalong Bay and plenty more.
3. Cocktails by the Best Bars
Drink award-winning cocktails by bartenders from Asia’s 50 Best Bars. For example, Jay Gray from Sago House will be whipping up your favourite cocktails. Additionally, bar participants include Lime House and Sugarhall alongside visiting bars such as Dirty Dick from Paris in France, A/A Bar from Indonesia and Jungle Bird from Kuala Lumpar, to name a few.
4. Beer Launch
Excitingly, Heart Of Darkness will be launching special beers inspired by renowned rum cocktails such as mojitos, daiquiris and pina coladas.
5. Other Events
Rum Bellion will host an array of other activities on June 3 and 4 in the lead up to the main festival. These include famed overseas bartenders holding shifts at certain establishments. For example, Scotty Schuder of Dirty Dick working at The Kongsee. Additionally, the rum festival will feature live DJs, tattoo artists and face painters in Singapore.
Tickets are available on the day and costs $12. The rum festival will take place from 1pm until late in Singapore.
