The arrival of Standard Bun, a cult-favourite Korean Bakery from Seoul, has sparked a fresh wave of excitement among Singaporean foodies. Running from June to August 2025, the first-ever global pop-up of Standard Bun will be hosted at two central locations in Singapore. These are Suntec City from June 4 to August 3 and Bugis Junction from June 10 to July 14. This means that local foodies get a rare chance to try the bakery’s much-hyped dessert buns without leaving the country. Here’s what we know about Standard Bun in Singapore.
Standard Bun Singapore Pop-Up
What makes Standard Bun so popular is its inventive take on classic Asian buns, particularly its signature mocha bun, which is a Korean answer to the beloved Rotiboy. These buns feature a crispy, mocha-dusted crust and a pillowy interior filled with soft butter, striking a perfect balance between sweet and savory.
Wonderfully, the Singapore pop-up will offer more than 25 flavours. These range from the crowd-pleasing Salt Mocha Bun topped with pearl salt flakes, to indulgent options like Caramel or Apple Cinnamon Bun oozing with luscious fillings, to name a few. One of the most popular mocha buns on the menu is the house-aged Maple Butter—sold in a glass jar with generous fillings. Prices are rumoured to begin at $3.90.
Singapore’s Standard Bun is expected to draw in massive crowds, since it operate exclusively in Seoul until now, and attracted celebrities like K-pop group I-DLE and G-Dragon to its home bases. Meanwhile, Standard Bun’s photogenic bakes, paired with its viral reputation and celebrity endorsements, make it a unique food experience in Singapore.
Certainly, Standard Bun is poised to be the city’s next viral sensation. It brings a slice of Seoul’s vibrant cafe culture to Singapore. Be sure to try the hyped Korean mocha buns over the next two months. The pop-ups open from 10am to 8pm at both locations.
