
Escape rooms fans will love a unique, immersive new experience opened recently in Singapore. Escape @ Science Centre is a thrilling new attraction that merges escape room concepts with puzzles incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning.
The E.S.C experience is designed to test your knowledge, skills and physical strength, in a fun and interesting way where science and art come together using storytelling, to challenge and educate players.
Global entertainment company Gushcloud teamed up with How Drama, a Singaporean theatre group, to bring these creative escape rooms to life at Science Centre Singapore.
There are three different concept rooms – Museum of Humankind, Shangri-La and Dr X – each offering riddles and puzzles using some theatrics for special effects. However, one can only solve them using critical-thinking and analytical skills. Certainly, the perfect place to be inspired and have fun with a group of up to four people.
1. The Museum Of Humankind
In this thrilling escape room, participants are the last humans on earth. They must face off against aliens known as the Zarkians to escape the museum. Gamers must find their way out using their mobile phones to decipher clues to find a plant that will help restart life on the planet. Interestingly, players will also learn the effects of climate change as they move along the game.
2. Shangri-La
Gamers must race against the clock in this adrenaline-pumping room to find their way out of the metaverse, or risk being stuck there forever. Plus, all players intellectual and physical abilities will be tested through quirky obstacles, laser battles and even earthquakes.
3. Dr X
In this room, an unsuspecting friend will be kidnapped by the evil Dr X. So the rest of the group must work together to try and rescue them. Additionally, the experience incorporates psychology and a deeper understanding of human biology because Dr X tests how extreme fears influence the human brain on those who are abducted. Players can only rescue their friend by entering his creepy laboratory and solving a range of tasks.
The escape rooms at Science Centre opens Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 10.30pm. Tickets costs $25. Buy yours via the Science Centre website. Certainly, this elevated escape room is one of the best things to do in Singapore.
