The World of Studio Ghibli – Singapore
The World of Studio Ghibli Exhibition, by the iconic animation studio of the same name, celebrates some of the best Studio Ghibli movies in one place at this exhibition. Fans of the franchise are invited to become part of the beloved stories of critically-acclaimed animation movies such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and exclusive to Singapore only new film The Boy and the Heron.
Discover a universe of Studio Ghibli unlike anything you have ever imagined across 11 galleries and 16 large interactive theatre sets. Exhibition highlights include meeting beloved characters of the popular movies through large-than-life installations and immersive experiences. For example, you can wait in the rain at a bus stop with Totoro, step inside Howl’s Moving Castle, or hop into a train carriage with No-Face, to name a few things.
Additionally, there are interactive activities such as drawing soot spirits and crafting thaumatrope, as well as 3D installations, original artworks, storyboard processes, and other unique attractions to complete the visual experience. In fact, this exhibition is the largest one created to date featuring more than four decades of history.
Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation studio, based in Tokyo, that was first launched in 1985. The legendary studio celebrates the best of animation and it has become one of the most famous animation companies globally for various media formats. Definitely, it’s one of the best things to do this weekend in Singapore.
