Tajine – Singapore
Concepted by Deliciae Hospitality Management, the new Moroccan restaurant opened at Robertson Quay last year. It boasts an intimate, bright Arabian-inspired dining space, with yellow, orange and brown tones, matched with tiled floors, golden hanging lamps, palm trees, cosy blue chairs, marble tables and splashes of gold. Plus, there’s an outdoor terrace that’s pet-friendly.
Menu highlights
DHM’s Chef Remi Carmignani, who worked in Marrakesh for more than five years, brings his first-hand North African cooking experience to Tajine in Singapore.
Enjoy a taste of authentic Moroccan-inspired cuisine with Mediterranean and African influences. From gigantic shared platters, to flavourful slow-cut meats, and handmade traditional wood-fire breads…you’ll be spoilt for choice.
The star of the menu is the Tajines, which comes in a traditional earthenware used by the Moroccans to cook meats or fish and enhances flavours. Select between Poulet Citron which consists of marinated chicken, a mix of spices, or Wild Atlantic Monkfish, otherwise go for the Slow-Braised Lamb Shoulder, which needs to be ordered 24 hours prior to visiting.
Another crowd-favourite is the savoury Pastillas. Particularly, diners love the Spinach Pastilla, served with artichoke, chickpeas, cumin, turmeric, and whipped ricotta. Other menu highlights include salads bowls, Couscous Royal with a choice of meat, top quality Hummus, and much more. Finish off with a Moroccan dessert such as Sorbet or Cornes De Gazelles.
The cocktail bar at Tajine offers a collection of classic and innovative drinks designed to complement the Moroccan tapas. Go for for refreshing classic like Negroni or Margarita, or else opt for something a little more daring such as The Bloody Marissa with spice-infused vodka, the fruity Sumactini, or the peppermint tea-infused Mo-Tea-To, to name a few.
Additionally, those who don’t like cocktails can order spirits, wines, beers or else playful Moroccan shots with lemongrass and peppermint tea-infused rum. Perfect for a date night!
Certainly, Tajine in Singapore is a dreamy setting where you’ll feel as if you’re on a journey through Marrakesh with every single bite. Definitely, a superb new place to celebrate a birthday or host a group dinner.
