Thundery showers are expected almost every day for the first half of the month of November in Singapore. Particularly, these showers are expected in the afternoon, according to the National Environment Agency.
Unfortunately, the weather is expected to consist of thundery showers which may extend into the evening on most days. These showers are due to the arrival of the inter-monsoon conditions which is normal for November as the Southwest Monsoon period comes to an end.
Although, Singaporeans can expect a below average rainfall for the first two weeks of the month. Usually, November is one of the wettest months for Singapore.
The inter-moon period is made up of light and variable winds, and thunderstorms which may be heavy, with higher lightening activity than any other months of the year.
Meanwhile, the daily maximum temperatures this month ranges from 33 and 25 degrees Celsius on most days.
The rainy showers in November comes as October prevailed with Southwest Monsoon conditions. The second part of the month saw more thundery showers on the island, mostly in the afternoons, which were moderate to heavy. In fact, the highest rainfall recorded for October 2023 was a daily total rainfall of 88.4mm at Jurong West.
