Tom And Jerry Singapore
The pilot episode premiered on Cartoon Network Asia’s YouTube Channel in August. It featured the famous cat-mouse duo fighting over durians in the Lion City, with distinctive shots of Marina Bay and familiar high-rise apartment blocks, in a three-minute short. It is part of Episode 7 in the series.
There are seven episodes in the new animated series. It takes a Singaporean twist and it was produced locally with Warner Bros. Animation, in a first outside the United States.
What can fans expect?
The iconic frenemies take their adventures around famous landmarks, from skyscrapers to vibrant streets, and other attractions that we know all too well in Singapore.
Watch scenes of the mischievous pair kite-flying at Marina Bay, relaxing at the seaside in Sentosa, slurping on Ice Kachang, and encountering Merli – a character inspired by Singapore’s iconic Merlion, to name a few. Interestingly, the new show weaves together Singapore’s authentic environment and Tom And Jerry’s humour.
New episodes of Tom And Jerry: Made In Singapore air every Saturday globally on Cartoon Network and YouTube. Meanwhile, four episodes will be immediately available on HBO GO followed by a second episode drop in November.
