Warner Bros. Discovery and Cartoon Network Asia released the pilot for the highly-anticipated Tom And Jerry cartoon series set in Singapore.

The first episode premiered on Cartoon Network Asia’s YouTube Channel on August 7. It’s titled ‘What’s That Smell’ and sees the famous cat-mouse duo fighting over durians in the city-state, with distinctive shots of Marina Bay and familiar high-rise apartment blocks, in a three-minute short.
The new Tom And Jerry episode in Singapore is the first of seven, three-minute episodes to be released at a later date. The animated series takes a Singaporean twist – in a first outside of the United States – where fans will see the iconic frenemies running around famous landmarks, from skyscrapers to vibrant streets, and other attractions that we know all too well!
In the first episode, the pair break into fighting because Tom is eating the famous durian fruit and Jerry can’t stand the smell of it. But we won’t spoil it for you!
Although, the rest of the series Tom And Jerry: Made In Singapore, which was produced locally with Warner Bros. Animation, will be released on Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific, and HBO Go in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Taiwan.
Additionally, Warner Bros. plans to release Tom And Jerry consumer products in Singapore in honour of the nostalgic new show.
The American animated cartoon series, Tom And Jerry, was created by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna. It first aired on October 27, 1940 which was the start of a legendary rivalry between a clever mouse and scheming cat. More than 80 years later, Tom And Jerry has taken various spins and is one of most iconic animated shows in history.
