For the first time in history, the ArtScience Museum will play host to a new exhibition dedicated to video games in the form of contemporary art. Virtual Realms: Videogames Transformed is coming to Singapore and you can take part from June 12.
Six of the globes most renowned video game developers have come together with six leading media design studios to bring you this iconic series of alluring video game installations.
If you are a video game fan, you will probably know some of the game developers leading this exhibition. They include Kojima Productions, Enhance, That Game Company, Tequila Works, Media Molecule and David O’Reilly, the creator of Everything and Mountain.
Each developer has excitingly partnered with a different media artists in order to create six playful and immersive installations with each being driven by a specific theme. These themes are Synesthesia, Unity, Connection, Play, Narrative and Everything.
There hasn’t been any sneak peaks yet of the Singapore display. Though, you should prepare to embark on a captivating journey through a multi-sensory wonderland. If you enjoyed Future World, you will be totally entranced by this one. Indeed, this global collaboration offers an unforgettable experience.
