If the scent of fresh pine, flowing fairy lights, and holiday carols make your heart skip a beat…Singapore’s festive calendar just unveiled a whole new experience coming this December. Moving from its previous waterfront location at Marina Bay, the beloved A Christmas Story by World Christmas Market returns to an enchanting new setting at Fort Canning Park.
Running from December 10 to January 3, 2027, the historic grounds of METT Hotel Singapore and the lush canopy of Fort Canning Park will transform into a storybook wonderland, complete with free admission for all visitors, and a warm welcome for furry friends. Here’s what to expect.
World Christmas Market 2026
Organised by DareDreamer, the festive experience unfolds across three themed chapters designed to capture the magic of the season. Visitors will first discover The Story Terrace, an open-air gifting and workshop hub featuring The Long Table, a communal dining space created to bring friends and strangers together over shared meals.

At the heart of the grounds lies The Piazza, anchored by a showstopping 38-foot real Christmas tree that fills the air with natural pine, surrounded by giant nutcrackers standing guard and glowing illuminated reindeer. The journey wraps up at The Merry Grounds, a bustling food and festive village packed with seasonal treats, comforting dishes, and celebratory drinks.
Additionally, music will play a starring role in bringing this holiday fairytale to life. On opening weekend, a 42-piece live orchestra will deliver festive symphonies, while brass sextets, saxophone quarters, and community choirs will take the stage on scheduled dates throughout the month. Plus, METT Hotel Singapore is marking the 100th anniversary of its iconic colonial building.

The festival opens on December 10 at 5pm, operating from Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 11pm, Friday through Sunday from 4pm to 11pm, and extended celebrations until 1am on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
