The bakery’s founders, Syaira and Ashraf, shared the emotional news through social media channels. They explained that the business has faced tough times for several years and is no longer able to stay afloat. In their statement, they emphasized the challenges that have accumulated—ranging from financial strains to the pressure of day-to-day operations—though they did not elaborate on specific details.
Meanwhile, they issued a heartfelt call for support in their final weeks, hoping customers would help them fulfill outstanding staff salaries, suppliers payments, and rental obligations so they can close the business without any major debts.

Founded in 2012 as a home-based operation before opening its first store at Jalan Pisang in 2013. Fluff Bakery quickly rose to fame before moving to a location along North Bridge Road in 2021. The brand became a hub for birthday celebration treats, drooling innovative seasonal flavours like Nutella Red Velvet Cupcake, signature bakes, and more. Wonderfully, everything is 100% halal-friendly.
In fact, the artisanal halal bakery has amassed nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram. But despite the strong community support over the years, increasing economic pressures ultimately forced the difficult decision of store closure.
In recent days, the team announced that orders are fully booked through the middle of September due to overwhelming demand following the closure notice. However, walk-ins at the physical store and still possible until the final closure date. So be sure to say farewell by grabbing some bakery treats at Fluff Bakery soon.
