With hundreds of eerie titles available, we’ve narrowed down 30 of our favourites on Netflix Singapore this Halloween season.
1. The Fall Of The House Of Usher
Coming to Netflix globally on October 12, this is a seriously sinister show to watch. The gothic horror tells the story of two ruthless sibling Madeline (Mary McDonnell) and Roderick Usher (Bruce Greenwood) who have built a mega powerful pharmaceutical company. However, when past secrets come to the light the heirs to the Usher dynasty die at the hands of a mysterious force. The show is by the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, so you know it will be scary!
2. Bird Box Barcelona
Another new hit film expanding the story of the famous 2018 Bird Box (also mentioned on this list) starring Sandra Bullock. This time, the streets of Barcelona are taken over by the sinister forces which aims to kill off the world’s population. Here, Sebastian must navigate his own survival across the city. It’s one of the best movies to watch this month.
3. Crawl
If killer animal movies thrill you, then this is the watch from Paramount Pictures for you. Starring Kaya Scodelario as a young woman who finds herself trapped inside a flooded house during a Category 5 Hurricane in Florida. While struggling to save her father, she comes up against the most savage and feared predators to humans.
4. All Of Us Are Dead
This coming-of-age hit Korean horror series is a popular watch on Netflix. Packed with heart-stopping action, it follows students who must escape their high school after a student is infected by a virus, turning people into zombies. Featuring themes like love and social inequalities and a diverse range of characters…this one is unmissable this Halloween.
5. Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer
This is one of the best shows to watch on Netflix – but only if your stomach can hack the true story of a serial killer. This terrifying true story will change the way you think about humanity. It follows one of the most notorious serial killers in the history of the United States. Jeffrey Dahmer, known for cannibalism, killed 17 young men and teenagers across more than a decade beginning in 1978.
6. Killer Book Club
This Spanish film follows a group of eight horror-loving friends, who must fight for their lives against a killer clown, who seems to know the secret they all share. That secret being that they accidently killed their professor when pulling a prank on him. So, this Killer Clown decides to try and kill them off, one by one.
7. The School for Good And Evil
With a stellar cast and alluring special effects, this is a more light-hearted Halloween flick to watch. It’s based on the best-selling book series of the same name. The movie depicts two best friends, Agatha and Sophie, as they navigate life at an enchanted school for young heroes and villains. But they soon find themselves on opposing sides of the battle between good and evil.
8. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
This is a sequel film to the Texas Chainsaw movies – which are possibly some of the scariest movies ever made. In this sequel, a group of influencers in a Texas ghost town encounter a notorious serial killer, Leatherface, who wears a mask of human skin and seeks vengeance.
9. The Pope’s Exorcist
Get in the Halloween mood early by taking on this horror flick on Netflix. Viewers will see the chief exorcist for the Vatican, Gabriele Amorth, battle Satan and innocent-possessing demons. The man in question has fought more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime.
10. Don’t Breathe 1 & 2
This movie starring Jane Levy, Stephan Lang and Daniel Zovatto as a group of Detroit delinquents who make a living from breaking into people’s houses. However, the three teens find themselves trapped in the house of horror trying to escape their blind, rich target.
11. The Watcher
This American crime series tells the true story of a married couple who bought their dream home in 2014 in New Jersey. However, shortly after moving into the house, they are harassed through letters signed by a creepy stalker called The Watcher.
12. Run Rabbit Run
This British horror movie is dominated the Top 10 recently. It centres around a young girl, whose single mother, a fertility doctor becomes increasingly worried by the child’s claims to have memories of another life, and she must confront a ghost from her past.
13. The Doll 3
This Indonesian slasher movie illustrates the life of Tar after her parents are killed in an accident and she must take care of her younger brother. However, when Gian ends his life, his spirit possesses a wicked doll and comes back to haunt Tara. Amongst all the horror, there’s plenty of comical moments.
14. The Midnight Club
Just released last October by the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, it tells the tale of a group of terminally ill teenagers who meet in the hospice to tell spooky stories. With not long to live, the friends make a pact between them that the first person to die must send signs from beyond the grave. But when one of them dies, chilling things begin to happen.
15. A Quiet Place 1 & 2
These 2018 and 2021 thriller movies are the perfect Halloween throwback on Netflix. A family must live in silence to avoid being hunted by vicious creatures who chase sound. Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are forced to communicate in sign language, along with their children, to survive this brutal universe.
16. Fear Street Trilogy
Horror fans will rejoice at this trilogy coming to Netflix so you can get in the Halloween mood. You can enjoy Fear Street Part: 1994, Fear Street Part 2: 1978 and Fear Street Part 3: 1666 on Netflix. The first movie follows a teen and her friends who decide to fight against evil forces after a series of brutal murders in their small town. Indeed, it will give you nightmares!
17. You
This American psychological thriller first hit screens back in 2018. Watch season one to four. In season four, Joe has settled down in England after (spoiler alert) murdering his wife, Love, but making it look like he didn’t do it at all and that he is, dead too. However, Joe becomes the target of toxic obsessions and infatuations in London. Certainly, you’ll want to lock your doors and watch your back after this one. In 2024, Season 5 is coming and it will be the last season of You.
18. Things Seen & Heard
This horror movie is based on the novel by Elizabeth Brundage, All Things Cease To Appear. In a 1980s depicted world, Catherine (Amanda Seyfried) and her husband George (James Norton) excitingly move to an old house in the Hudson Valley. Soon after, supernatural events unfold, and they realise that their home is harboring sinister secrets. If you’re a scary cat like myself, be sure to watch this horror flick with someone else.
19. Stranger Things
The second volume of the fourth installment of Stranger Things landed on Netflix in July. It picks up after six months since the battle in Starcourt, which almost destroyed Hawkins. The friends are separated for the first time, with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) captured and stuck in a hidden location with no powers.
20. Fractured
This 2019 psychological thriller movie tells the tale of a man who goes on a mission to find his injured daughter and wife after they disappear from the emergency room. Believing the hospital has something to do with it, he starts to piece together the mystery. It’s cleverly absorbing but not too chilling that you’ll be hiding behind your hands.
21. El Conde
Another eerie Spanish language film that’s both spooking and making audiences worldwide giggle. It tells the story of Augusto Pinochet, who is a vampire ready to die, however the vultures around him won’t let him go without one last bite.
22. World War Z
Brad Pitt stars as Gerry Lane, a former U.N Investigator, in this iconic 2013 horror and action movie. He goes on a mission to safe his family in the middle of a pandemic, where a lethal virus is spreading through a single bite, and turning people into feral monsters. But Gerry must also try to save humanity by finding the cure to the infection.
23. The Babysitter 1 & 2
Both these horror-comedy movies, directed by McG, are the perfect way to dose up on bloody theatrics and still sleep peaceful. Think satanic shenanigans, plenty of action, and scared kids petrified of their babysitters, to keep you entertained.
24. The Devil All The Time
Expect a stellar cast, from Tom Holland to Robert Pattison, to bring this disturbing movie to life. In a postwar town in America, watch as a young man tries to fight against corruption and sinister characters who can’t tell the difference between faith and evil, in order to protect his family. Indeed, this movie is unsettling to watch, full of violence, death, and plenty to heighten your Halloween spirit.
25. Hubie Halloween
This horror comedy flick stars Adam Sandler, Noah Schnapp, Maya Rudolph and more. It follows Hubie Dubois (Sandler), an unusual but harmless oddball, known to locals. However, when residents start disappearing, Hubie has a hard time trying to convince people it has something to do with an escaped criminal who is new to the area. You’ll have to watch it to find out what happens next.
26. #Alive
This South Korean title seems fitting in the current climate. It tells the story of a virus that spreads through South Korea and turns people into flesh-eating zombies. Instead of running, Joon-woo locks himself inside his apartment, trying to hide from the blood-thirsty monsters. This suspenseful thriller may even give you nightmares and is just the Netflix movie to get you in the mood for Halloween.
27. Bird Box
This Netflix sensation needs no introduction, but in case there’s a small chance you haven’t seen it, then it’s probably a good time to watch this post-apocalyptic thriller, where evil attacks through sight. Anyone unfortunate enough to see the mysterious force will commit suicide. Sandra Bullock plays a mother of two, who attempts to take her children on a treacherous journey down a river to safety. And she has to do it all, um, blindfolded!
28. The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina
This supernatural dark fantasy series is totally worth the watch. A twisted adaption of the Sabrina The Teenage Witch, it follows Sabrina Spellman as she tries to navigate her dual-life as half-witch and half mortal, while trying to protect herself and her loved ones from evil forces.
29. Unsolved Mysteries
This gripping docuseries will leave you with an insatiable appetite for true crime. While the shocking real-life murders and mysterious disappearances aren’t for everyone, you can binge-watch three seasons on Netflix Singapore right now just in time for Halloween.

Smart and sarcastic Wednesday Addams heads to Nevermore Academy after being expelled from school for a revenge prank.
