Hong Kong’s most famous burger brand, Honbo, has opened its first global outlet in Singapore. Located at the historic CHIJMES, burger lovers can indulge in handcrafted American-inspired burgers all the way from Hong Kong at this new hipster hub.
Honbo was first launched by a former doctor Michael Chan in 2017. Interestingly, it is named after hamburgers in Cantonese. While the smash burgers are made with juicy patties and potato milk buns, created in collaboration with famous French baker Eric Kayser.
The diner-style restaurant at CHIJMES exhibits colourful décor, with blue and white tiling, matched perfectly with pastel yellow seating and retro finishes.

First-timers at Honbo need to try the signature Honbo burgers. Particularly, each burger comes with crispy beef, pickles, onions and house sauce. Meanwhile, there are four types to choose from. For instance, the regular Honbo comes with two juicy beef patty while the huge Honbo 2.0 consists of four beef patties and three cheese slices. The choice is yours!
Otherwise, there is a drooling Cheeseburger, limited-edition Scallop Burger using Hokkaido scallops for the perfect taste of Japan, organic Teriyaki Chicken Burger, smoky Gold Standard with bacon, and a delightful Impossible Burger for all the vegans.
