The National Museum of Singapore will host the first global showcase of The Doraemon Exhibition outside of Japan from November 5.
The iconic exhibition is presented by LEYOUKI, bringing together 28 artists and art groups, showcasing their own original and unique artworks of Doraemon, reimagined for our changing and modern society.
Visitors will embark on an exciting journey discovering each artist’s impression of Doraemon, based on feelings and memories, over five decades. The exhibition features a mix of artworks inspired by ideas and techniques including photography, sculptures, paintings and graphics.
Plus, visitors will also be treated to the first-ever exclusive MANGA DORAEMON Original Drawings Exhibition at the museum. It boasts a collection of original drawings of Manga Doraemon created by famed manga artist, Fujiko F Fujio. Meanwhile, there will be Doraemon merchandise available to purchase.
Since its inception in 1970, the beloved Japanese character Doraemon has made an impact on people globally and the exhibition invites visitors to reminisce on their own personal memories growing up with Doraemon. The exhibition first launched in Tokyo in 2002.
