Froyo enthusiasts in the East might soon have a new reason to celebrate as shoppers recently spotted hoarding for the cult Australian frozen yoghurt brand Yo-Chi at i12 Katong. Rumours are heavily swirling that the hugely popular dessert chain is gearing up to launch its fourth Singapore outlet. While an exact opening date and official details have yet to be released, the brand reportedly takes over prime real estate previously occupied by PS. Cafe. Here’s what we know.
Is the East Coast ready for the Yo-Chi craze?
Yo-Chi landed in Singapore just over a year ago, opening its flagship store at Orchard Central in August 2025. Marking the Melbourne-born brand’s first-ever international outpost, the launch generated immense hype. The Yo-Chi debut was an immediate hit and paved the way for rapid island-wide expansion to The Star Vista and Westgate.

Dessert enthusiasts love Yo-Chi’s interactive pay-by-weight format and the sheer quality of its ingredients. Diners have the freedom to customize their own bowls and choose from rotating signature yoghurt bases and healthy acai.
Highlights include classic Tart, Salted Butterscotch and Mango, alongside an extravagant toppings bar. From a viral drizzle station with warm Nutella to indulgent brownie chunks, fresh fruit, and more…it’s going to be the ultimate dessert spot in Joo Chiat and Katong. More to follow.
