Get ready to see art in a whole new light this season as Gardens by the Bay transforms into a feast of colour, curves, and colossal creativity as IMBA presents Botero in Singapore. In fact, it will be the world’s largest and most ambitious exhibition ever devoted to Maestro Fernando Botero. Discover nearly 130 original works by the legendary Colombian artist across indoor, outdoor, and immersively filled spaces. And the best part is that it’s the first and only Southeast Asian stop for the exhibition landing in stages from now—making it a must-see cultural event for 2026 in Singapore. Here’s what to expect.
What can visitors expect from Botero in Singapore?
The landmark exhibition, presented together by the Fernando Botero Foundation and IMBA, is part of the new attraction’s launch and boasts three distinct formats. This includes the world’s first Botero immersive experience, a major gallery exhibition with paintings, drawings, and indoor sculptures, as well as iconic outdoor sculptures at Silver Garden in Gardens by the Bay.
Visitors can step into the sweeping Heart of Volume exhibition from February 13, 2026. It features 118 paintings, drawings, and sculptures from the Botero family collection, tracing seven decades of his distinctive Boterismo style. The showcase captures the humour, humanity, and rich colour that made Botero one of modern art’s most recognizable names.

Additionally, the world’s first immersive Botero experience, named A Life in Fullness, opens on March 6, 2026. Interestingly, the 45-minute audiovisual exhibition is narrated by his son Fernando and offers an intimate portrait of the artist as a father, rebel, and visionary—through animation, archival footage, and storytelling. Overall, it feels more like a living canvas of memories.
Meanwhile, Botero’s signature volumes spill out into the open with Garden Grandeur. It features 10 monumental bronze sculptures including four at IMBA Theatre and six at Silver Garden. Unveiled over the weekend, these larger-than-life works invite visitors to pause, photograph, and enjoy moments of wonder amid the lush greenery. Plus, the Shangri-La Singapore adds a delicious twist with a Botero-inspired afternoon tea at The Rose Veranda, alongside five original artworks until March 1, 2026.
Excitingly, Botero celebrations even extend to the road in collaboration with BMW Eurokars Auto. His playful style adorns two special-edition cars in a Precious Steed viewable until February 22 at the Eurokars Experience Centre.
The highly-anticipated IMBA Theatre opens with these launches in Singapore. It’s set to become a cultural landmark for audiences to enjoy the world’s best artworks and immersive experiences. Learn more about the venue.
