Steaming giant, Netflix, is planning to open retail stores in 2025 where fans can fully immerse themselves in a world of movies and TV shows. Dubbed Netflix House, the venues will offer diverse concepts that blend retail, dining, and themed experiences, according to a report by Bloomberg.
“We’ve seen how much fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level,” Josh Simon, Vice President of Netflix’s consumer products, told Bloomberg.
Netflix stores worldwide
Netflix revealed two new venues will launch in the United States in 2025, followed by expansion plans of the concept worldwide.
Wonderfully, there will be immersive experiences based on the hottest Netflix shows. So, fans can step into their favourite TV shows and movies. Allegedly, shops will look like interactive exhibitions with unique merch on sale and cool installations to explore. Plus, there may even be a Squid Game obstacle course, according to reports.
Although, the streaming giant has not stated where the stores will be or how many will open.
Already, Netflix launched a number of successful pop-ups across the world in collaboration with other brands. From Stranger Things pop-ups with Fever, to Netflix’s new online store, a pop-up restaurant and Netflix at The Grove in Los Angeles…fan engagement is at the core of Netflix’s marketing.
Perhaps, these stores will resemble Netflix at The Grove which opened in October 2022 in Los Angeles. It was a 10,000ft retail space with cool merchandise, activities, and shows like Squid Game on display.
We can only hope that one of the Netflix stores will open in Singapore. After all, we are one of the Top 10 best cities globally.
