Singapore has gained itself many titles this year. From the happiest country in East Asia, to boasting the world’s best roads, and being named the world’s most overrated city, to name a few. Those overseas love to give us titles! But additionally, Singapore ranked as one of the most peaceful countries in the world for 2023.
World’s peaceful countries – Singapore
The Global Peace Index awarded Singapore sixth place on its annual list of the world’s most peaceful countries. This ranking is the highest among all Asian countries – making Singapore the most peaceful country in Asia followed by Japan at ninth place for 2023.
The Global Peace Index measures the level of peacefulness in 163 countries worldwide which is more than 99% of the world’s population. It considers factors like level of safety and security, the country’s military presence, and domestic conflict.
