The Lion City will welcome a globally renowned boutique hotel brand this year. The Standard debuts in Singapore as part of its expansion into Asia.
The 5-star hotel will open on Orange Grove Road, near Orchard Road and directly across from the Shangri-La Singapore. It is being developed by boutique real estate company Invictus Developments.
The Standard, Singapore
The Standard will feature 143 rooms in Singapore. Aiming to provide an innovative guest experience, visitors can expect The Standard’s signature restaurant and nightlife as well as a secluded infinity pool, surrounded by a lavish botanical courtyard. There will be an array of culture and art programmes for guests, a fitness centre, meeting rooms and much more. The Standard will also incorporate a Green Plan to meet the demands of our green city.
Attractions
As mentioned, the stylish new hotel is favourably located near the premium shopping destination Orchard Road. Meanwhile, a range of delightful dining, entertainment and retail brands exist within walking distance of the hotel. One attraction nearby is the UNESCO Singapore Botanical Gardens that’s a top destination to see on a visit to Singapore.
First opened in Hollywood in 1999 by Andre Balazs, The Standard has gone on to become one of the trendiest hotel chains worldwide, with offerings from Ibiza to New York and acquiring prestigious buildings such as the celebrity-loved Chiltern Firehouse in London.
No date has been released for the opening of the lavish hotel and photos are limited to artist impressions. However, we suspect it may look similar to recently opened and award-winning The Standard, Bangkok.
