A World of Frozen, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ movies, Frozen and Frozen 2, is opening just four hours direct flight from Singapore this season. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will transport visitors to the magical world of Arendelle at the world’s first and largest Frozen themed park using cutting-edge technology.
World of Frozen in Hong Kong opens on November 20. And wonderfully, Singaporeans can grab cheap direct flights with Cathay Pacific or Scoot for under $200 round trip. Here’s what we know:
The first World of Frozen globally
Global visitors can immerse themselves in Frozen’s stories, landscapes, culture, characters, and enchanting music for the first time in history at the kingdom of Arendelle on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Interestingly, it was first concepted seven years ago.
Disney Imagineers brought the kingdom to life using world-class techniques such as Audio-Animatronics® figures, extensive research, immersive storytelling, and integrating inspiration from Norway to accurately depict cinematic features beyond any real-life experience you have ever imagined, alongside thrilling attractions.
World of Frozen brings iconic scenes from the movies to life. From the North Mountain to the Ice Palace, the royal Arendelle Castle, the bay of Arendelle featuring replicas of the fishing boats, Friendship Fountain, and more…you’ll feel as if you’ve fallen into the Frozen movies.
World Of Frozen highlights
Key attractions include Frozen Ever After, where visitors will meet Frozen characters like Anna and Elsa inside Ice Palace, through advanced technology, as well as meet-and-greets with actors posing as characters around the land.
Celebrate Summer Snow Day (when Anna saved the kingdom and Elsa with an act of true love) by popping on special themed outfits and embarking on an adventure through Arendelle, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, and playing with Anna and Else at Playhouse in the Woods. Plus, there are a number of other activities to do.
Enchanting music from Frozen, by award-winning composer Andrew Cottee, will be broadcasted throughout the park to enhance emotional connections and storytelling.
Complete your visit to Arendelle by indulging in delicious cuisines and exploring charming shops – deeply rooted in Nordic history and culture. From sweet treats at Northern Delights to cool souvenirs at Tick Tock Toys, and so much more…you’ll be spoilt for choice. Meanwhile, visitors can opt to stay in Disney Resort hotels on the grounds.
