So, we’ve made a guide on how you can spend a day like Emily Cooper in Singapore. Who needs Paris eh? Get dressed up as if you’ve got a million dollars, a million followers and a high salary and do these six exciting things in Singapore.
1. Dress like Emily
Paris is one of the most fashionable cities on the planet. So, you’ll need a Parisian look for the occasion. Pull out your best chic attire, or head shopping at ION Orchard, from Dior to Burberry, these are all the ingredients that make up Emily’s looks. Be sure to select a mix of bold and bright colours, statement pieces like coats, patterns like monochrome, and add cute beret or headpiece.
Of course, we know luxurious shopping like this is above many of our paygrades. So, you could always find some beautiful copycat pieces from high street stores such as H&M, Zara, to name a few.
2. Bon Appetit
Indeed, while watching Emily In Paris, our mouths water at the sight of all the delicious French food. From the sweet-smelling bakery near Emily’s apartment, to Gabriel’s restaurant and all the coffees. Therefore, acting like Emily will require eating like Emily.
For breakfast, indulge on traditional crepes in places like The French Fold on Telok Ayer, and head over to Tiong Bahru Bakery for their authentic signature pain au chocolat croissant paired with a coffee, before copying Emily and snapping a shot with a croissant outside.
For lunch or dinner, dive into glorious French cuisine at places such as hot new French eatery, Claudine Restaurant, or one of the most instagrammable eateries in Singapore, Merci Marcel. Certainly, you’ll feel as if you’re dining in France.
3. Explore museums
A week in Emily’s life wouldn’t be complete without visiting a picturesque museum. Consequently, you must check out the ArtScience Museum, which hosts regular international exhibitions and other interactive art installations. Alternatively, immerse yourself in art from across the globe at the National Gallery Singapore.
