Singapore is set to launch the highly-anticipated SG Culture Pass initiative on September 1, 2025—bringing a boost to the local arts and heritage scene. The new website will display more than 400 arts and heritage shows, workshops, and experiences eligible for the SG Culture Pass. Every Singapore citizen aged 18 and above, will automatically receive $100 worth of credits, which can be used to offset ticket purchases for approved arts and heritage programmes, performances, exhibitions, workshops, and experiences across the island. The programme, announced during the Budget 2025, is aimed at fostering pride and appreciation for Singapore’s vibrant cultural offerings while making the arts more accessible to all. Here’s how it works.
How to use SG Culture Pass credits
The Culture Pass Singapore will be valid from September 1, 2025 until December 31, 2028. Singaporeans can redeem plans through authorized ticketing partners like Sistic, BookMyShow, GlobalTix, Klook, Pelago, and more. Meanwhile, digital credits can be claimed via sgculturepass.gov.sg.
Users access their credits by logging in through SingPass on the official SG Culture Pass website—where they can browse eligible events and make purchases without needing to wait for any SMS notification.
Additionally, the platform is continually adding new programmes to ensure a dynamic and regular updated selection for participants. Plus, MCCY is considering adding film screenings to book with the credits at a later date.
The SG Culture Pass targets a range of interests and budgets—with around 70% of offerings priced at $50 and below. For instance, live performances account for around 40% of the listings, while workshops and talks comprise nearly 30%. Other eligible events included guided tours of cultural landmarks like Chinatown, shows at Esplanade, immersive art experiences, and much more.
How do I know if I qualify?
Every Singaporean aged 18 and above will get up to $100 in SG Culture Pass credits from September 1.
No action is required by you. The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) stated an SMS notification from the gov.sg SMS sender ID will be sent to those who qualify for the credits in September 2025. Although, you can start using them on September 1, 2025.
Interestingly, the government has committed approximately $300 million to this SG Culture Pass initiative to promote engagement in the creative community. Learn more about this initiative.
